PNB Life Turns 2... Bigger, Bolder, Brighter
May 2010—PNB Life embraces 2010 with much excitement and enthusiasm as it marks its second year anniversary of providing new beginnings to Filipinos nationwide. It was in May 2008 that the company became 100% Filipino-owned and officially changed its name to PNB Life Insurance, Inc from New York Life Insurance Philippines, Inc.
As it enters its third year with renewed commitment to quality customer service and professional sales force development, its policyholder and prospective clients can expect changes with a new product portfolio that is more attuned to the needs of the modern Filipino. Furthermore, the company will be able to reach more Filipinos through the expansion of its bancassurance with the approval from the Monetary Board of the bancassurance venture between Philippine National Bank and PNB Life.
PNB Life President and Vice-Chair Esther Tan is optimistic. “Our markets are getting bigger. Our vision to be the choice financial provider becomes bolder with new products. Our objective to bring the most qualified and trustworthy financial advisors are signs that 2010 will be pivotal in bringing PNB Life to greater heights.”
Increased visibility is aimed this 2010. Chief Financial Officer Caesar Altarejos, Jr. adds, “Our company’s financial position this year will be much better. This is an assurance to our policyholders of operating profitably and providing the benefits specified in the policy contracts.” The company embarks on making it more accessible to customers through the implementation of technologies that will make business transactions easier; this in parallel with friendly and professional customer service staff.
The company is grateful for the unrelenting patronage of its clients. It also acknowledges the continued support of its parent firm and bancassurance partner, Allied Bank, for contributing greatly to the sale of dollar endowment and unit-linked policies. Moreover, the company is gratified with the continued confidence of Dr. Lucio Tan and the conglomerate, making PNB Life a viable player in the industry as a relevant institution to better the lives of Filipino families.
