Allied Bank Referrors Discover Winter in South Korea

Seoul, Korea—PNB Life’s sales force and Allied Bank referrors experienced a snowy post-valentine in their 4-day trip in one of the most visited countries in the world and the heart of Korean culture last February 18 – 21, 2010.

On their first day, the delegates arrived at the world’s number 1 airport, Incheon International Airport. They had their first taste of Korean cuisine after having their dinner at a local Korean restaurant and then went back to their accommodation, the Best Western Hotel Incheon, to rejuvenate for their next days’ tour and activities.

On the second day, everyone experienced being Jang Geum, Janice and Joseph when they had their tour in Yangju. The majestic Daejanggeum Theme Park and Nami Island are both shooting places of famous Koreanovelas in the Philippines. The former was where most of the scenes of “Jewel in the Palace,” were taken. The latter was from “Winter Sonata’s”. In the evening, they proceeded to the IBK Jump Seoul Theater to watch “Jump”—a hilarious and exhilarating non-verbal theatrical experience that incorporates many of Asia’s martial arts. Finally, they went shopping at Dongdaemun Market, a bargain-hunters haven.

The third day was marked with a tour to Yongin. The delegates tasted what it felt like to be Korean after having a hands-on experience in Kimchi-making, wearing of Hanbok (traditional Korean dress), and picking of seasonal fruits. They also went their way up the Seoul Tower and the Teddy Bear museum, both shooting places of another famous Koreanovela, “Boys Over Flowers.”

Highlight of their last day in Seoul was a visit to Duty Free shops, Gyeongbok Palace, National Folk Museum, Ginseng Center, and Amethyst Factory.
